Chicken karahi, also known as gosht karahi (when prepared with goat or lamb meat instead of chicken), and kadai chicken, is a dish from the Indian subcontinent noted for its spicy taste; it is notable in Pakistani and North Indian cuisine.



1 medium-large onion
½ cup oil
1 big piece ginger
large whole garlic
2 large Tomatoes
¾ ts full salt
¾ ts chilli powder
¾ ts crushed chillies
1ts cumin seeds,
1/3rd ts turmeric powder
1ts coriander powder
1/2 kg fresh chicken,
½ cup yogurt,
fresh coriander,
3-4 green chillies
garam masala ¾ ts




Add oil to a pan. Add chicken to the pan and fry until its brown. Once the chicken is light brown add the garlic/ginger paste and fry for 5 more minutes. Add tomatoes and cover the pan and cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Once the tomatoes are cooked add the spices. Now cook for another 10 minutes. Add had the green chili and cook for 5 minutes. Once the oil comes out add the garnish and cover the pan for 5 minutes. Enjoy.
